Promoting and protecting the interests of local communities in the Australian Government’s Independent Review of Commonwealth Disaster Funding.
Partnering again with our colleagues in the Western Queensland Alliance of Councils, SWQROC highlighted the specific needs and challenges for SWQ communities in designing any new disaster management funding arrangements.
Based on WQAC’s submission, the Australian Government has invited a more detailed response to be provided, with this document to be finalised and submitted in early 2024.
