Family-friendly region famil 2023

SWQROC facilitates a network of tourism officers across our region, working together with the aim raising the profile of South West Queensland (SWQ) as an accessible and vibrant Outback Queensland destination for the growing drive and family market.

In April 2023, we hosted our first famil with experienced travel influencers – the Law family of Travel Tales.

SWQROC and our colleagues across the region had a great time working with and hosting the Law family on their SWQ holiday. The itinerary kicked off in early April 2023 - perfect timing to enjoy the start of the tourism and events season in our region.

The Laws shared their adventures on their social media accounts while on the road, with total reach of their posts hitting over 96K accounts.

Their SWQ adventure was the subject of a dedicated blog post, and a swag of images and video were also delivered as part of the project – which was supported by Remote Area Board Funding from the Queensland State Government These fantastic assets will help us promote why it should be top of the list for families and drive holidaymakers to Be Our Guest in Queensland's South West!
